Kanha is situated amongst the pristine rolling Maikal hills and tribal belt in the heart of India. Located on the eastern border of Madhya Pradesh, the ‘central state’, Kanha is well know for the virgin primary forest habitat, vibrant wildlife, tribal belt and and rich natural environments, serving as inspiration for Rudyard Kipling’s classic, the “Jungle Book”.

An adventure into this virgin habitat of Kanha this field sortie will enable you to explore incredible birds and mammals up close at The Bagh, and Kanha National Park, as well as explore one of the most rural and picturesque landscapes of India. Dedicated hides throughout The Bagh using traditional construction allow a traditional and authentic professional photographic hide experience. The strategic design of the property, groves and plantations, overlooking water bodies, with multitudes of walks throughout the estate along with the rich habitat, offers incredible photographic encounters. The Bagh’s strategic locations means that you are also able to visit and explore diverse sectors of Kanha National Park, connected protected habitats, to give a varied and exceptional birdwatching, wildlife and mammal viewing and photographic experience.

The Bagh offers an authentic interface with both the local nature and peoples where you may taste the local flavours, witness traditional villages, relax in the wild and explore on foot hidden corners revealing treasures. The ultimate purpose of a journey is to discover oneself among signboards, cultures and importantly natural habitat and wildlife. Some realise this consciously while others just make them a part of their memories. We curate this experience for your passage to India to position for the best opportunity to capture on camera the most brilliant indigenous birds, animals in their natural habitat, along with traditional tribal culture.

INNATE

Network

During the Autumn season, the big nesting colony of water birds starts to disperse in natural areas with very confident youngling followed by adults at a short distance. Local fauna becomes enriched of migratory species, among which we

can find raptors like the wonderful Imperial, Steppe and Greater Spotted Eagle, which make excursions full of surprises. During these excursions, we cannot forget about the Queen of the forest. During this season, water becomes extremely scarce and tigers feel very attracted by it in order to satisfy their drinking and bathing needs. This makes them easier to watch. Limited vegetation will allow better possibilities to photograph various ungulates and above all the great Gaur. Don’t miss this experience! Enjoy it fully in our reserves between hides and tour excursions in the course of ten unforgettable days.

OCTOBER/NOVEMBER 2019

An Open Day to inaugurate the first photo hide in India: The Bagh of Bharatpur! An event to celebrate the opening of the INNATE Asia project to the public!

NOVEMBER 2019

During this season, water becomes extremely scarce and Tigers feel very attracted by it in order to satisfy their drinking and bathing needs. This makes them easier to watch. Even if many birds have already finished their breeding season, this is a great moment to observe Sarus Cranes busy in their breeding parades. In addition, local fauna is enriched by migratory species, among those

a great number of birds of prey. Don’t miss this experience! Enjoy it fully in our reserves between hides and tour excursions in an unforgettable trip.
